However, some carriers prefer one construction to another. A well maintained network could utilise a light gauge parcel cage. Damage is regularly repaired and all important parcel cage weight is kept to a minimum. Some networks prefer a bombproof parcel cage which is supposedly low maintenance but doors, locks and skids still need regular maintenance.
